Privacy & legal information
Last updated: 4 November 2026
1. Who operates this website
Dale Rafferty trading as Vandorley Systems is the sole trader responsible for this website and the controller of personal information submitted through its enquiry form.
Email: hello@vandorley.co.uk
Website: vandorley.co.uk
Business address: 85 Westholme Road, Alcester, Warwickshire, B50 4AN, United Kingdom
Vandorley Systems is a trading name, not a UK limited company. It is not described as registered or authorised by a regulator.
2. What personal information we collect
When you submit our enquiry form, we collect your business name, your name, email address, your selected service and the message you provide. We may also receive correspondence you send directly by email. Our website provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser details and access or security logs when you visit the site.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, medical records or other sensitive personal information using the form.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use contact information to read and respond to your enquiry, assess whether our proposed services may be suitable, and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. For general business enquiries our basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): responding to people who contact us about our services. Where you personally ask us to take steps before entering into a contract, pre-contract steps (Article 6(1)(b)) may apply. We may keep relevant business records where needed to meet a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). Website security and fraud prevention may rely on legitimate interests.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not use the enquiry form for solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How enquiries are processed and shared
Netlify hosts this website and processes/stores submissions through Netlify Forms. IONOS provides our business email service, which receives notifications and correspondence. We restrict access to business information to the operator and authorised service providers who need it to deliver these services. We do not sell enquiry information.
The lead-recovery walkthrough uses fictional records and runs in your browser. It is not connected to Make, live customer data or any AI service. If we later use Make or an AI provider to process real enquiries or client data, we will check the appropriate agreements, lawful basis and privacy disclosures with each customer before deployment.
5. Processing outside the UK
Netlify operates internationally, so some information may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. We use providers with documented data-protection arrangements and take account of applicable UK international-transfer rules. You can request further details about the providers and relevant transfer arrangements by contacting us. Our use of IONOS email is governed by its applicable contractual data-protection terms.
6. How long information is kept
We normally retain ordinary enquiries for no longer than 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless you become a client or a legal or legitimate business reason justifies a different period. We review and delete data that is no longer needed from Netlify submissions, relevant IONOS messages and any saved exports. Accounting, contractual and legal records may need to be retained for longer where justified.
7. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and always object to direct marketing. Contact hello@vandorley.co.uk with a request or concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Cookies, fonts and technical services
This version of our site does not deliberately install advertising pixels or optional visitor analytics, and uses system fonts rather than loading fonts from an external provider. Our hosting provider may process necessary technical logs and use security or strictly necessary technologies. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and implement any required consent controls before activating them.
9. Website demonstrations and commercial offers
Our lead-recovery walkthrough uses fictional examples, does not send messages and does not access live client information. The core Make workflow has been tested with demonstration data but is not presented as a continuously operating system. Other services, including review response, website builds and custom automations, are offered as quoted pilots or projects subject to scope and suitability. Website prices are illustrative starting points, not a checkout or binding offer; applicable taxes and delivery, support and data-processing terms are agreed in writing before work begins.
10. Updates and questions
We will review this notice if our services, suppliers or data-handling arrangements change. Please email hello@vandorley.co.uk with any question about this notice.
